Residential Trash Pickup

Serving private residences and multi-home associations throughout the Town of Guilford, American Carting Company offers weekly, twice weekly, and annual bulk trash pickup. Options include in-yard or curbside services, and discounts are available depending on the level of service selected.

Single-Stream Recycling

American Carting Company participates in single-stream recycling for the convenience of our customers. This option does not require “comingled containers” and “paper fiber” recyclables to be separated. All items can be placed into one bin for collection.

Acceptable Recyclables include glass and metal food/beverage containers, aluminum beverage cans, aluminum foil, #1 to #7 plastics, aseptic packaging, newspapers, corrugated cardboard, junk mail, office paper, and boxboard. Customers should ensure they properly rinse/clean all food containers and flatten cardboard containers.

Unacceptable Recyclables include books; ceramic cups and plates; drinking glasses; clothes hangers; food-contaminated pizza boxes; light bulbs; notebooks; plastic bags; window, mirror and auto glass.

Commercial

For oversized loads, we offer roll-off container service from 10- to 40-yard capacity, the largest of which holds up to six tons of material. One- to 10-yard rear-loader container options also are available upon request. Our commercial services are ideal for construction projects of any size or for local small-business monthly service. Our prices include drop-off, pickup and disposal of materials within the prescribed tonnage allowances.

Miscellaneous

We’ll remove anything bulky that’s too heavy to dispose on your own, including refrigerators, stoves, TVs, mattresses, sofas, washers and dryers, and other large trash items.
